The S1000D Conference update

As most of you are already aware, the S1000D Autumn conference kicked off today in Munich. For those like me who were unable to attend and in an effort to broaden participation in this S1000D Blog I have asked some people that are attending to act as 'Guest' bloggers to give us their views on:

- the presentations
- the information being provided
- the future of S1000D
- the implications of some moves as they see it.

I hope that they will be able to submit their blog entries either as it happens, or in the evening. Either way, the S1000D blog will be kept up to date.

Of course one of the problems is that there are those who will not like to be identified. I shall of course respect their wish to remain anonymous because we all understand the pressures of some companies for their staff to tow the party line.

Don’t forget, you can sign up to my RSS feed to be alerted as soon as this blog is updated.

It would have been good if we had been invited to the party in München. Pilatus as an end2end iLog user have a particular interest and could perhaps have given some valid input.
Perhaps the organiser of these events can get it right next time. Just because we don't go to all the junkets, doesn't mean that we are not interested.

Ian raises a very valid point. Indeed, one of the aims of the Blog is to fill the void that exists between those who know and those who do not.

I am very happy for this forum to act as a public notice board for events or news relating to S1000D. Because of this I encourage anyone who is organising or attending an event to let me know and I will make sure that it gets included in the Blog. If you can give a bit of background about the event that would be even better.
