Course Notification: S1000D Training Course

Are you looking to increase your knowledge of S1000D and how to implement the standard in your organisation?
I’ll be running an s1000D training course at Mekon's training facility on the 20th -22nd of November, in the UK.
This is a generic course for those who wish to gain knowledge of the S1000D specification, how to implement it and its implications for technical publications.
Both Management, who are intending to implement the principles of S1000D, and Project Mangers and Authors, who will generate data in accordance with S1000D, will find the course interesting and applicable.
The course is spread over one or three days, depending on the level of knowledge you need.

Day One - an introduction to the requirements for implementing S1000D. Managers and those who need only to be aware of the requirements may use this as a stand-alone day.
Days Two/Three - A detailed look at S1000D covering the hierarchical breakdown of equipment and SGML/XML structure behind the standard. This part of the course is intended for those who are going to generate material in accordance with S1000D.

I really enjoy giving these courses which I regard as a two-way event. We can all learn and benefit from others' experiences. Although this course is taking place in Sutton in the UK I have been to other places, both within the UK and other countries, to give this course or a specially modified version to suit local needs.

And in an unashamed plug (which I very rarely do):
You may have specialist requirements or a large group needing training and hence would benefit from a customised course which we can deliver on your site anywhere in the world.

For more information or to book at place please contact Susanne at Mekon. Please say you saw the course on my blog!
