Some of you may remember that the X-Pubs event last year in Reading had quite a number of items of interest to the S1000D fraternity. I have just had a flyer from them which indicates that there is going to be possibly even more S1000D content.
This years event is going to take place later this month at the London Heathrow Marriott Hotel and it has a number of presentations in the S1000D arena. A number of the presenters are well known to us not only in the S1000D area but also in the allied area of Training.
Presenters include:
- Dennis Raitz,Associate Technical Fellow at Boeing, share 16 years of lessons learned in IETP development and implementation
- Chris Wood, BAE delivers a User reality-check to make sure the advancement of modular standards doesn’t advance without attention to the needs of real field maintenance staff development and implementation
- Wayne Gafford, covering big changes in the future of ADL SCORM management development and implementation
- Richard Nicolson, PTC Product Manager for S1000D delivery applications, educate on how the reuse opportunity can be maximised with modular content, development and implementation
- Maria Luisa MacDonald, STE Tutor and the STE National Coordinator, AgustaWestland demonstrates how STE can help the customer experience.
From what I have heard there are also going to be a fair number of delegates from the Aerospace industry and this means plenty of opportunity to 'network' and share experiences. These experiences are very valuable and often serve as a much more serious reason for attending.
The dates next week - 22nd to 24th June.
I am going to be there on the first day, Monday - perhaps I will see you there
